Be another Donald Trump
Hi and thanks for taking time to join me on this page.
I suppose the title of Be Another Donald Trump is a bit misleading but it got your attention didn’t it? By Being Another Donald Trump I am not talking specifically about all the money he has made or the deals he has hatched and the fame he has received for the different ways and amounts of money he has made.
What I am talking about is the help he gave to an elderly man who was on the verge of bankruptcy and was in lieu of losing his home and well, his dignity too. So ultimately I am sure Donald saw this as some sort of an investment. Maybe just an investment in another human being’s life who many of us at grown up with. I am speaking of Ed McMahon who many of us knew for years from the Johnny Carson show. Whatever the reason for his help (and I like to believe it was out of wanting to help another human being in need at the time), he did something good and right for someone else.
What am I getting at? If you are still with me on this, I am talking about helping other people who are in the same situation, or maybe even worse. What I talking about doing is helping out a few families at a time that need the same kind of help Ed did. They are about to lose their homes. The sheriff could be ready to knock at that door any minute and their lives are ready to be turned upside down because of, well there are many different reasons this happens, It could have been an error in judgment, or an unscrupulous mortgage broker who did not make it perfectly clear what the buyer was getting in to (as we are finding out everyday how unscrupulous these people really are), or because things were fine when the house was bought but are no longer what they used to be. Maybe all these people need to know is that someone out there cares and is willing to give them some kind of helping hand to get them back on track.
I am searching out other people who would like to help me help these people in any way possible. No matter what has happened in my life I have always had the belief that there is much good in the majority of people and when asked to help they are usually willing to help if they are able. So every few months, if I can make this happen, I am going to search out a few families who need help either to keep their homes or be able to move with some kind of dignity. Believe me, helping others does make you feel good and also makes you feel closer to God (for those who believe in God), and if not, closer to humanity. I know this from my own experience. Helping others no matter what the size or amount does wonders for how you feel about yourself.
What I would like to do is start writing about these families and their situations. Then give an ongoing update on what is being done for them and what is happening with their situation. I want you to get to know these people just as if they are part of your family and mine. I implore you to help me help some families in need and maybe we can start something much bigger than ourselves. Give back something to others out of gratefulness for what we ourselves have and what God has deemed to give us.
